Week 3 Roundup
I know I'm running it, but its still hard for me to believe that the third week of The Fussy Cut Sampler QAL2 is wrapping up. I seriously don't know where time is going, but I love that as each week passes I get to watch so many gorgeous quilts start to really take shape and show their unique personalities.
Meet This Week's Makers
@thefeltedpear is working exclusively in solids with black and white fussy motifs mixed in, since her daughter teased her that it would be cheating to only work in solids!
@hello.erikabea is actually making TWO quilts!! When you check out her page, make sure you swipe on her blocks to see the different scenes she's building. Spoiler alert: they're all adorable.
@suegreene513 is working with a limited palette of red/oranges and blues, and I love where it's going.
@my.quilting is using orchid as her unifying color across all blocks. I love the gentle feel it's giving the quilt, plus, I know how tricky it is to find just the right purple fabrics!
@laurenrengelken's blocks are all so sweet, but I especially love how the gingham makes the little pig block feel like they're all off to market.
@nataliesfussycutsampler is adding her favorite fabrics to each block, which really brings the blocks to life!
@stitchedbysaratallas is working in a limited pallet of greens yellows and pinks. Her blocks are looking so prefect all together!
@seaschellquilts has added some sweet fussy cut motifs to this week's blocks. I love the approach of each block as an individual story.
@loscamou's blocks all look superb together, and she definitely knocked the stripe chapter out of the park! It can be so tricky to get just the right parts of your fabric to line up, but she made it look easy.
I'm so ready now for week 4, and I hope you are too! Make sure to follow #thefussycutsamplerqal2 for more inspiration. I'll see you here next week with another feature on more amazing makers.
